By Car

There are 3 car parks at Union Square offering you a total of 1700 car parking spaces. Union Square car parks are easily accessible from Market Street, Palmerston Road and College Street.



The surface car park is open 24 hours a day. The multi-storey car park is open from 0700 until 30 minutes after the Cinema closes each day. Upon arrival take a ticket and pay at one of the machines located at various points both inside and outside the mall.


College Street Car Park is open 24 hours a day. The car park is Pay and Display, with an automatic number plate recognition system in place to monitor payment. If you have any problems there are help points located throughout the car park or call us on 01224 254326 and someone will be happy to help.


Our car parks are all monitored by CCTV and contain dedicated disabled and parent and child spaces. Our Multi-Storey car park also has charging points for electric vehicles.


The 8 electric car charging points are available on Level 1 of the multi-storey car park. To operate these simply open the cover and plug in. There is no cost for this service.

By Train

Union Square connects to Aberdeen railway station through the doorways in the main atrium.


If you are travelling to or from the train station by car there are designated drop off points located around Union Square. These are located:

• Outside Jurys Inn on Guild Street

• The Surface Car Park at the South Entrance

• College Street Car Park

Please note that the layby outside the main entrance by the Train Station is NOT a drop off point.

Aberdeen has train services linking directly with Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness and with London and many other destinations across England.


The train also provides a direct link for people living in Aberdeenshire with services available from Dyce, Inverurie, Insch, Huntly, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk.

By Foot

Union Square is only a 2 minute walk from the Aberdeen City Centre and within easy walking distance of several local landmarks.

By Cycle

Union Square has 200 cycle parking places - most undercover and monitored by CCTV. There are cycle racks located at:


• Civic Square (main entrance on Guild Street)

• Bus Station (Adjacent to Jurys Inn)

• College Street car park

• Our surface car park (beside JD Sports and M&S)

• Palmerston Road (racks under the car park ramp)

By Ferry

The ferry terminal is located less than 5 minutes walk from Union Square. There are daily ferries from Aberdeen to Lerwick in Shetland - with four of these sailings going via Orkney's capital, Kirkwall.

By Taxi

Taxi ranks are located at the rail station and also Hadden Street (just off the Green).If you are travelling to Union Square by Taxi there are designated drop off points located:


- Outside Jurys Inn on Guild Street

- The Surface Car Park at the South Entrance

- College Street Car Park

By Bus

Union Square is conveniently located adjacent to Aberdeen bus station and close to most major bus routes through Aberdeen City Centre. If you are travelling to or from the bus station by car there are designated drop off points at Union Square. These are located: Outside Jurys Inn on Guild Street The Surface Car Park at the South Entrance College Street Car Park.

Please note that the layby outside the main entrance by the train station is NOT a drop off zone. Aberdeen bound Stagecoach Bluebird buses all call at the bus station which is joined to the Union Square building. Stagecoach serves all areas of North-East Scotland, making it easy to travel to and from Union Square.  The main services to the centre are:  JET 727, X17, N17, 7, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7S, N7, X6, X7, 10, X10, 37, 35, X35, 201, 202, 203, 60, 61, 62, 62A, 67, 68, X60, X62, X67, X68.
