Shop Mobility
Shopmobility
Shopmobility offers a service at Union Square. Scooters and wheelchairs are available from the Shopmobility centre for a small donation. They can be found off the first floor of the multi-storey car park, close to a number of disabled car parking bays. More info can be found here.
Accessibility Guide
We work in collaboration with AccessAble to give you detailed information about accessibility at Union Square. They have produced an Accessibility Guide for Union Square, which includes facts, figures and photographs to help you plan your visit with us. You can read Union Square's guide here.
Resources
At our Customer Service Desk on the lower mall and within Shopmobility, you can access a range of sensory toys, ear defenders and tinted glasses for customers with autism and additional support needs.
We also have Sunflower Lanyards available to anyone free of charge from the Customer Service Desk and centre teams have been trained on hidden disability customer service.
Changing Places
We have a Changing Places toilet on the East Mall near Greggs and Burger King. This is for older families and people with disabilities. It contains a large wall-mounted bench and hoist. There is an intercom system for entry.
Quiet Hour
Between 11am - 12pm each Sunday, the centre delivers a quiet shopping experience where stores turn off music and lights are dimmed where possible.
