Giraffe We love Giraffe’s super shakshouka – eggs baked in tomato sauce with peppers and onions, served with a toasted flatbread to mop it all up. As well as being totally tasty, eggs are packed with quality protein to help you stay fuller for longer (and to stop you from reaching for the biscuit tin mid-morning). Giraffe’s hippy hippy shake, with pineapple, passionfruit, mango, banana and pomegranate juice, makes an awesome accompaniment to this dish – packing in loads of goodness before you start your day. Whether you’re a dedicated veggie, vegan or just making an effort to eat less meat and more veg in the new year, this mouth-watering dish is a must-pick on the menu. We reckon it’s tasty enough to convert even the most committed carnivore.
Brewdog veggie haystack Brewdog Brewdog’s brunch menu has lots of options for veggies. Our favourite is the veggie haystack – BBQ seitan steak, crispy kale, smashed avocado, chargrilled padron peppers, BBQ pit beans, forest mushroom and vine tomato, served with sourdough toast. As well as being delicious, you’ll also be getting your day off to a flying start by making a dent in your five-a-day – winner! Oh, and trust us, you won’t want to miss their salted caramel and Oreo milkshake. Open from 10am Monday-Friday; 9am Saturday-Sunday. Breakfast is served until 12pm.
