The Role: 


Our Team Leaders are passionate about fashion, visual merchandising, driving sales and putting the customer first. They are essential to OUTFIT as they drive the individual brands and sales have pace and energy and overall strive to make our customers leaving the store feeling great!


Team Leader Expectations 


Commercial Flair 

  • Possesses a genuine passion for Retail, Fashion, Customers and OUTFIT 
  • Driven by a desire to deliver an outstanding experience for customers in their Store 
  • Understands the drivers of profit and costs 
  • Uses a number of key commercial reports and uses these to make good decisions that improves sales
  • Makes appropriate suggestions to their Manager for improving their Store’s performance against a range of KPIs 
  • Uses Brand Guidelines to effectively implement floor moves, layout changes and promotions 
  • Understands the importance of managing a stock package, maximising sales opportunities and minimising mark down 
  • Reacts calmly to competing business demands

Driving Results

  • Supports their Manager to achieve their KPIs and excellent operational standards 
  • Demonstrates pride in their work, self motivation and drive 
  • Promotes outstanding customer experience in their Store by being a role model and leading by example
  • Directs their Sales Assistants to ensure that operational tasks are delivered effectively and in a timely manner
  • Confidently and compliantly runs the Store in the absence of their Manager or Deputy 
  • Works collaboratively with other Team Leaders and Sales Assistants in their Store

Future Focus

  • Understands OUTFIT’s Strategy and their Store Manager’s long terms goals 
  • Supports the implementation of the Business Plan for their Store and uses this to guide their decisions
  • Provides clear and concise communications to their team about the Brand Strategy and their Business Plan, e.g. sets SMART objectives 
  • Promotes new technologies and multi-channel opportunities in their Store to drive sales
  • Clearly communicates to their team members what a great performance looks like
  • Helps to create a motivational environment to work in, coaching others and provides constructive feedback to improve their performance and support their development
