Also known as the ‘Granite Mile’, Union Street was built in the early nineteenth century and now has over 800 shops restaurants and bars. The city centre also plays host to Aberdeen International street market and the Aberdeen Country Fair offering the best local produce every month.
Adjacent to Union Street there are several shopping malls including Bon Accord St Nicholas, The Trinity Centre, The Academy, The Galleria and now Union Square which has entrances on Guild street and via Market street.
Hidden in the west end there are a variety of independent boutique style stores for both men and women.
The wider area of Aberdeenshire along with Aberdeen City is famous for its food production and many local and national restaurants and cafes, allowing everyone to sample it’s famous fare.
