Pupils from the Hazlehead Academy mountain bike club enjoyed a new experience yesterday, (17th September) as they took a trip around Hazelhead Park to test out their new bike trailers. The trailers were bought after the school received part of the £20,000 bursary scheme set up by Hammerson's Union Square earlier this year.
Gordon McConnell of Hazlehead Academy said: "Receiving the bursary means we can now go on longer, more comfortable biking trips, safe in the knowledge that our kits are dry and safe.
"The pupils are having a great time testing the trailers out and we would all like to say a big thank you to Union Square."
Hazlehead Academy was one of 13 beneficiaries to receive part of the Union Square community bursary which was set up to help a range of local charities and community groups in Aberdeen City and Shire.
